What does the bible say about climate change?
“But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you; or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind." - Job 12:7 - 10
School council leading the way
Our school council work hard to be role models and be the student voice of St Bartholomew’s. They meet weekly to discuss important issues and one issue, which was pertinent to them, was climate change. They have become ambassadors for this cause and have sought to promote students in class to be ‘Green’. This involves having duties such as ensuring the lights are turned off when they are not in use, making sure the projector is not on unnecessarily and keeping a watchful eye on their class’s recycling habits.
4 Maple can be very persuasive!
Using the text, ‘The Last Polar Bears’, 4 Maple began their understanding of climate change. They then used information texts to gain a more factual based understanding. Bringing all this together, Mr Purshouse had created a class of passionate children who were determined to highlight how climate change affects our world and what we should do to stop it.
