EYFS - What have we been reading?

Reception have been recently enjoying Pizza Pat. This is because when the children brought in their 'all about me bag' 5 children included a pizza box and talked about how their favourite food was pizza!
They have had a lovely week exploring new vocabulary through the book such as dough, dozen, neighbourhood, ingredients and chef. This vocabulary was developed in their play too: 'Look Mrs Benbow I have made a dozen' and had put twelve cubes together to make a dozen! From the text, the children wanted to be a chef and they made their own pizza orders, they designed and labelled their own pizza and then they made it!
